To date, Birdland Cards has donated all of the proceeds from fundraising to the Hackerman-Patz House in Baltimore, Maryland through Postcards for Patz. Birdland Cards also has organized programs for members of the community to spend time with families at The Hackerman-Patz House to provide much needed supplies, comfort, emotional support and company to residents. The Hackerman-Patz House provides a safe and convenient home away from home to patients and their families who require overnight or lengthy visits for appointments, medical procedures or rehabilitation at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Many patients require medical care for extended periods of time, sometimes for multiple visits. The Hackerman-Patz House opened in 2004 and has 18 rooms. Since 2004, more than 33,000 individuals have stayed there and more than 8,000 families have been helped.
