Proceeds donated by Birdland Cards provides much needed support to members of the community. Donations are used for food, daily operations, games, toiletries, gatherings, holiday gifts, basic supplies and many other useful needs for patients and their families. Additionally, Birdland Cards organizes events for others to provide comfort and company to families at Hackerman-Patz. The friendships formed from those events transcend the serving of food to patients and eating together with them at Thanksgiving dinners, participating in art projects with children, canned food and clothing drives, or watching a football game together on a rainy day. They help form a bond that lasts a lifetime and brings happiness to everyone involved.
